Captain Jack (1999)
Marinier Jack Lanniman (Bob Hoskins) wil in de voetsporen van zijn grote held treden. Deze held, Kapitein Scoresby, zeilde in 1791 van de Withby-baai naar het noordpoolgebied. Jack vindt dat de kapitein in zijn geboortestad niet genoeg geëerd wordt. Hij weet zijn eigen bemanning zo ver te krijgen om samen met hem de tocht over te doen. Dit moet alleen wel op de eigen boot van Jack, die helaas niet zo zeewaardig is.
