Albert Nobbs (2011)
Ierland, 19e eeuw. Albert, een verlegen butler, heeft al jaren een groot geheim: in werkelijkheid is hij een vrouw die haar hele leven zich moet kleden en gedragen als man. Wanneer de knappe schilder Hubert Page arriveert bij het hotel probeert Albert te ontsnappen aan haar valse identiteit die ze voor zichzelf heeft gecreëerd. Ze verzamelt al haar moed bijeen om het knappe jonge dienstmeisje Helen het hof te maken waarin ze een zielsverwant heeft gevonden. Maar Helen heeft meer interesse in de de nieuwe klusjesman Joe.
