Al meer dan 500 jaar roert de kasteelgeest Hui Buh de boel op kasteel Burgeck. Zijn vriend en eigenaar van het kasteel, koning Julius, is niet de enige die de slechte pogingen van Hui Buh om enge spookplaatsen te creëren vreselijk vervelend vindt. De chaotische sfeer in het kasteel bereikt een recordhoogte wanneer de jonge heks Ophelia uit het niets bij de kasteelpoort verschijnt en beweert het lang verloren nichtje van Hui Buh te zijn. Ophelia is in het bezit van het Necronomicon, een oud spreukenboek dat even kwaadaardig als krachtig is. Hui Buh, die beseft welke mogelijkheden het boek voor hem zou bieden, staat te popelen om het boek in handen te krijgen...
