Freak Power: The Ballot or the Bomb (2020)
Hunter S. Thompson ging als journalist naar de Democratische Conventie van 1968 in Chicago en keerde walgend naar huis terug, maar gemotiveerd door wat hij zojuist had gezien: gewelddadig onderdrukte protesten, rellen, corrupte politici en beledigende agenten. Terug in Aspen vindt hij meer van hetzelfde. De lokale politie en sheriffs richten zich op jongeren, vallen hen lastig en beschuldigen hen van absurde misdaden en proberen hen de stad uit te duwen. Hunter besluit dat hij iets moet doen om het politiegeweld dat de norm is geworden te veranderen.
