The House on Carroll Street (1988)
Als Emily Crane haar medewerking weigert aan Un- American Activities Committee voorzitter Ray Salwen wordt ze meteen ontslagen en op de beruchte zwarte lijst van communistische sympathisanten gezet. Maar dan komt ze er toevallig achter dat Salwen verwikkeld is in een complot waarbij het goud van Nazi oorlogsmisdadigers het land binnen gesmokkeld wordt. Met gevaar voor eigen leven probeert Emily met FBI agent Cochran de illegale smokkelpraktijken van Salwen te verijdelen voordat zij zelf het slachtoffer worden van het misdadige complot.
