The Lost Leonardo (2021)
Deze documentaire vertelt het verhaal achter de Salvator Mundi, het duurste schilderij ooit verkocht voor 450 miljoen dollar. Vanaf het moment dat het schilderij voor $1175 wordt gekocht bij een louche veilinghuis in New Orleans, en de restaurateur meesterlijke Renaissance penseelstreken ontdekt onder de zware vernis van zijn goedkope restauratie, wordt het lot van de Salvator Mundi bepaald door een onverzadigbare zoektocht naar roem, geld en macht. Naarmate de prijs stijgt, nemen ook de vragen over de echtheid toe: is dit schilderij echt van Leonardo da Vinci?
