The Pied Piper (1942)
De Engelsman Mr. Howard is op visvakantie in Oost-Frankrijk wanneer de Duitsers in 1940 binnenvallen. Op weg om te proberen terug naar huis te komen, wordt hij overgehaald om de twee Cavanaugh-kinderen mee te nemen, en naarmate zijn reis vordert, wordt zijn gezin steeds groter. Eenmaal in het door Duitsland bezette Noord-Frankrijk doet zich een nieuw probleem voor: het risico dat men Engels spreekt.
