Little Voice (1998)
De enorm verlegen LV (Horrocks) leeft sinds de dood van haar vader als een kluizenaarster op haar zolderkamertje, waar ze platen draait en ook zo af en toe meezingt (wat ze alleen in het donker doet). Haar asociale, alcoholistische moeder heeft een relatie met de derderangs impresario Ray Say (Caine). Wanneer hij haar hoort zingen, zorgt hij er voor dat zij in de nachtclub van Mr. Boo kan komen zingen. De eerste keer gaat verschrikkelijk mis, maar de tweede keer bloeit LV op tot een wereldzangeres...
