Druk, druk, druk. Te veel verplichtingen en te weinig tijd. We kennen het allemaal, maar niemand weet dit probleem zo geweldig op te lossen als Doug Kinney (Michael Keaton). Hij laat zichzelf gewoon klonen en krijgt er zo een tweede 'ik' van vlees en bloed bij. Deze kloon neemt zijn baan waar. Maar het blijft druk, druk, druk, dus wordt het tijd voor kloon 3. Deze twee klonen zouden ook wel graag meer vrije tijd willen hebben en zij besluiten nog een kloon in het leven te roepen, deze mislukt echter een beetje. Maar dat is niet het enige : Doug's vrouw (Andie MacDowell) mag nergens van weten maar ze begint zijn 'wisselende stemmingen' toch wel een beetje vreemd te vinden...
