Rites of Passage (2012)
De student antropologie Nathan is gek op Dani, een lastige meid die afstand heeft genomen van haar Indiaanse Chumash erfgoed. Op een weekend nodigt hij professor Nash en enkele van zijn klasgenoten uit op de verlaten ranch van de familie, eens een heilige Chumash begraafplaats, om een eeuwenoud ritueel opnieuw uit te voeren. Nathans oudere broer, een stuntelende drugsverslaafde, is een van de twee excentriekelingen die daar geïsoleerd woont. De andere is Delgado, een verloren ziel die zijn vrouw en zoon verloren heeft door een ongeluk, veroorzaakt een dronken bestuurder. Zijn doel is het vinden van de persoon die het ongeluk veroorzaakt heeft. Deze twee zonderlingen reageren echter niet bepaald vriendelijk op ongenode gasten...
