Le Baron de l'écluse (1960)
De gelukkige baron wint een boot in een kaartspel en vertrekt met zijn voormalige geliefde op zoek naar nieuwe avonturen. Door ongunstige omstandigheden belanden ze in een klein stadje, waar de zeevarende metgezel van de baron vertrekt naar een aantrekkelijker landschap aangeboden door een rijke lokale man. Ondertussen is er een charmante café-eigenaar die de baron onweerstaanbaar vindt – althans voor een tijdje.
