Karla Jean Davis behaalde een Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Film & Video aan de Georgia State University. Ze werkt al bijna vijftien jaar in de preproductie-, productie- en postproductiesector, met een focus op regie en montage voor films. In juni 2025 brachten zij en haar man James hun eerste single "kiss me like you mean it" uit met hun dreampop/postpunkband Silk Daisys. Karla woont momenteel met haar man en twee dochters in Atlanta, Georgia.
