Vera Ann Farmiga (/fɑːrˈmiːɡə/ far-MEE-gə; geboren 6 augustus 1973) is een Amerikaanse actrice. Farmiga begon haar professionele acteercarrière op het toneel in de originele Broadway-productie van Taking Sides (1996). Na haar carrière in televisie en film brak ze door met haar hoofdrol als drugsverslaafde in het drama Down to the Bone (2004). Vervolgens speelde ze rollen in de politieke thriller The Manchurian Candidate (2004), het misdaaddrama The Departed (2006) en het historische drama The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (2008). Ze werd ook bekend als een 'scream queen' dankzij haar optredens in de horrorfilms Joshua (2007) en Orphan (2009). Voor haar rol in de komedie-drama Up in the Air (2009) werd Farmiga genomineerd voor een Academy Award en ontving ze diverse andere prijzen. Ze maakte vervolgens haar regiedebuut met de dramafilm Higher Ground (2011), waarin ze zelf de hoofdrol speelde.
