Три сестры живут так, как им нравится. Наслаждаются жизнью, влюбляются, совершают глупости… Ева, средняя сестра, самая ответственная. Джорджия, главный редактор женского журнала, увлеченно борется за власть. А младшая сестра Мэдди не слишком удачливая актриса телесериалов. Сестры постоянно висят на телефоне, обсуждая свои любовные истории, работу, друзей. Однажды они узнают, что их отец, раздражавший их многие годы и ведший безумную жизнь, находится при смерти. Ни одна из дочерей никогда не была близка к нему. Ответственная Ева берет заботу о папочке на себя и очень сердится, что ее сестры не уделяют достаточно внимания умирающему. По телефону они ругаются, плачут, радуются… и смеются.
