Страна теней (1993)
Главный герой фильма — Клайв Стейплз Льюис, профессор Оксфордского университета и автор серии книг для детей «Хроники Нарнии», а также многочисленных популярных работ о христианстве. Фильм повествует об истории трагической любви Льюиса к Джой Грэшем. Она специально приезжает из Америки, чтобы встретиться с автором книг, так полюбившихся ее маленькому сыну. Знакомство, не сулящее поначалу ничего особенного, постепенно перерастает в доверительную дружбу. Подтверждением все более крепнущей связи становится согласие Льюиса вступить с Грэшем в фиктивный брак, чтобы тем самым облегчить разведенной матери-одиночке получение британского гражданства. Их ждет короткая супружеская жизнь, прерванная смертью Джой от рака.
