В картине будет рассказываться о скандале, разразившемся после того, как суперпопулярный ведущий новостной программы на CBS Дэн Рэзер заявил в эфире о том, что Джордж Буш-мл. по блату попал в Национальную гвардию США, чтобы избежать отправки во Вьетнам (спасибо могучему папе Бушу-старшему, который на тот момент служил послом). После такой правды репутация Рэзера здорово пострадала, а его продюсера Мэри Мэйпс и вовсе уволили.
