Английский пациент (1996)
Вторая мировая война близится к концу. Молодая канадская медсестра ухаживает на заброшеной вилле за своим «английским пациентом», который получил страшные ожоги во время авиакатастрофы в пустыне Сахара. Медленно угасая, он воскрешает в памяти свой страстный роман с замужней женщиной, сметенный ураганом войны и банальными предрассудками, что в конце концов и привело к трагической развязке.
