Психиатр Мартин Беннет уже несколько месяцев работает с пациенткой Ариэль Дюбуа, которая никак не может вспомнить события той ужасной ночи, когда ее застали с ножом в руках над телом зверски убитой подруги Нины Шеро. Доктор хочет помочь своей красавице-пациентке, чувствуя, что в этой трагической истории скрывается какая-то тайна. Но однажды ночью Ариэль убивает охранника и сбегает из лечебницы. Беннет находит девушку и, пытаясь разгадать загадку убийств, тайно следует за ней на виллу, где погибла Нина Шеро...
