Мультфильм для самых маленьких, состоящий из пяти сказок, где чудеса становятся реальностью. Между историями, как в театре, есть коротенькие интермедии, герои которых – снежинки. А сами удивительные приключения животных и людей в канун Рождества происходят повсюду от Франции и Японии до Крайнего Севера. «Новогодние истории зверушек» соединили шесть талантливых женщин-режиссёров из разных стран: Каролин Аттиа, Джейлан Бейоглу, Олесю Щукину, Харуну Киси, Камилль Альмерас и Наталью Чернышеву, снимавшую интермедии. Современную сказку Олеси Щукиной про занятую маму, чуть не опоздавшую устроить для дочки новогоднюю ёлку, узнаёт всякий, кто любит её мультфильм про бельчонка и санки.
