The Philly Kid (2012)
In derselben Nacht, in der Dillon McCabe die NCAA Wrestling Meisterschaft gewinnt, wird er in den Mord an einem Polizisten verwickelt und schließlich zu einer Gefängnisstrafe von 15 Jahren verurteilt. Zehn Jahre später kommt er frühzeitig wieder auf freien Fuß und versucht sein Leben abermals in den Griff zu bekommen. Doch ausgerechnet jetzt gerät sein bester Freund Jake in Schwierigkeiten. Dillon braucht Geld, um ihm aus der Klemme zu helfen. Um so schnell wie möglich an viele Moneten zu kommen, beginnt er an Mixed-Martial-Arts-Kämpfen teilzunehmen. Er gewinnt die ersten drei, doch sein Erfolg bringt ihm nur noch mehr Ärger. Er bekommt zu spüren, dass sein wahrer Gegner ein korruptes System ist, welches von ihm das Unmögliche verlangt: Verlieren. Doch das kann der ehrgeizige Mann nur schwer mit seinem Sieger-Ego vereinbaren...
