Ruby Sparks - Meine fabelhafte Freundin (2012)
Calvin ist ein junger aufstrebender Schriftsteller. Allerdings plagt er sich zurzeit mit dem Fluch eines jeden Autoren: der Schreibblockade. Eines Tages jedoch – wie aus dem Nichts – erscheint ihm eine weibliche Gestalt namens Ruby Sparks vor seinem geistigen Auge. Die Figur nimmt immer mehr Konturen an, Calvin erfüllt sie wie im Rausch mit Leben – und Liebe für ihren Schöpfer. Mit ungeahnten, wahnwitzigen Folgen. Denn plötzlich steht Ruby Sparks vor ihm – in Fleisch und Blut. Nach anfänglichem Schock beginnt Calvin seine Schöpfung zu nehmen, wie er sie geschrieben hat. Er ist glücklich. Und wie sich zeigt, kann Calvin kraft seiner Worte Ruby Sparks auch nachträglich Eigenschaften zuschreiben. Doch kann Ruby so eine eigene Identität entwickeln? Probleme sind vorprogrammiert. Findet die Liebe ihren Weg weg von der fiktionalisierten Idee? Wird die Geschichte ein gutes Ende nehmen?
