Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match (2023)
Hollywood, in den 1980ern: Schauspieler Johnny Cage ist auf bestem Weg, ein Superstar zu werden. Hat er doch die männliche Hauptrolle für den größten Blockbuster des kommenden Jahres an der Seite von „Dirty Dancing“-Ikone Jennifer Grey an Land ziehen können. Doch als der Dreh losgeht, verschwindet sein Co-Star plötzlich spurlos und bleibt auch unauffindbar. Als sie am nächsten Tag noch immer nicht wieder vor Ort ist, sieht Johnny seine Felle davonschwimmen und macht sich deshalb selbstständig auf die Suche nach der Kollegin. Dabei findet er zu seiner Überraschung heraus, dass in den dunklen Ecken von Los Angeles viel mehr vor sich geht, als er jemals für möglich gehalten hat. Johnny stößt auf eine geheime Vereinigung und einen Kampf um den Fortbestand der gesamten Erde mit extrem blutrünstigen Kriegern aus einer anderen Welt. Kann Johnny gemeinsam mit den anderen Kämpfern die Menschheit und - noch viel wichtiger! - seine Hollywood-Karriere retten?
