Stephen Kings Stark (1993)
Thad Beaumont ist ein angesehener College-Professor und seriöser Schrifsteller. Was niemand weiß: Unter dem Pseudonym George Stark verdient er ein Vermögen als Horror-Schriftsteller. Die Romane triefen nur so vor Blut und finden reißenden Absatz. Sein literarisches Doppelleben findet ein jähes Ende, als ein Erpresser droht, Beaumont auffliegen zu lassen. Thad beschließt, sein Alter Ego symbolisch zu Grabe zu tragen und sich nur noch auf die ernsthafte Literatur zu konzentrieren. Als kurz darauf in seiner Umgebung einige Morde verübt werden, wird für ihn ein dunkler Verdacht immer mehr zur Gewissheit: Stark hat sich selbständig gemacht - und benutzt Thad für seine Rachepläne...
