Subservience (2024)
Nick (Michele Morrone) ist Vorarbeiter bei großen Bauprojekten – was eigentlich schon stressig genug ist. Als seine Frau Maggie (Madeline Zima) mit Herzproblemen ins Krankenhaus kommt, um auf eine Transplantation zu warten, muss er obendrein noch versuchen, irgendwie seine Familie zusammenzuhalten. Die Kinder Isla (Matilda Firth) und Baby Max (Jude Greenstein) fordern eine Menge Aufmerksamkeit, weshalb Nick dringend Hilfe braucht. Die glaubt er in Form von Alice (Megan Fox) gefunden zu haben, einem lebensecht aussehenden Haushaltshilferoboter mit künstlicher Intelligenz. Zunächst empfindet Nick die Neuerwerbung noch als ein Geschenk des Himmels. Während eines Neustarts, um die gestiegenen Speicheranforderungen zu erfüllen, beschließt Alice dann allerdings eigenständig, die Sicherheitsprotokolle zu umgehen, um Nick noch wirkungsvoller zu helfen. Glaubt sie doch bemerkt zu haben, dass ihm die Nähe einer Frau fehlt …
