Anatomie einer Entführung (2004)
Wayne Hayes und seine Frau Eileen scheinen alles zu haben: eine harmonische Ehe, zwei sympathische, erwachsene Kinder und ein gut gepflegtes Bankkonto. Doch als der erfolgreiche Geschäftsmann eines Nachts nicht nach Hause kommt, zeigen sich Bruchstellen in der Fassade des Glücks. Waynes Verschwinden entpuppt sich als Entführung und seine intakte Ehe als Illusion. Während Eileen mit dem FBI auf einen Anruf des Kidnappers und auf ein Lebenszeichen Waynes wartet, reflektiert sie ihre Beziehung und die Wunden, die nach einer Affäre Waynes nie verheilt sind. In dieser schwersten Bewährungsprobe ihrer Ehe kämpft Eileen engagiert für ihren Mann, der von seinem Entführer tief in die Wälder außerhalb der Stadt hineingetrieben wird. Wayne erkennt die Verzweiflung des Täters, ahnt, was ihn am Ende des Wegs erwartet. In der Vergangenheit ermöglichte Verhandlungsgeschick dem Selfmademan die Erfüllung des amerikanischen Traums.
