Mysterious Skin (2005)
Brian Lackey ist gerade dabei herauszufinden, was vor knapp 10 Jahren mit ihm passiert ist. Als achtjähriger Junge hat er einen Black-Out erlitten und kann sich nur noch an die blutige Nase erinnern, mit der er nach ein paar Stunden wieder aufgewacht ist. In seiner kindlichen Fantasie glaubte er wahrlich daran, dass er von Außerirdischen entführt worden sei. Doch jetzt trifft er Neil McCormick wieder, der damals genauso alt wie er war und mit dem er gemeinsam im Baseball-Team gespielt hat. Neil scheint der Schlüssel zu den Ereignissen aus der erinnerungslosen Nacht zu sein, die beide seit damals aus ihrem Gedächtnis verbannt haben. Erst als sie aufeinandertreffen, ergeben die einzelnen Puzzleteile einen Sinn und sie erkennen, welch dunkles Geheimnis sie verbindet und was ihre Narben, sowohl innerlich als auch äußerlich, zu bedeuten haben…
