Tommy (1975)
Weil ihr Mann im Zweiten Weltkrieg verschollen ging, muss Nora Walker ihren neugeborenen Sohn Tommy alleine groß ziehen. Tommy endwickelt sich prächtig, bis er eines Nachts Nora mit "Onkel" Frank im Bett erwischt und taubstumm und blind wird. Alle Versuche der Heilung scheitern, doch als Tommy eines Tages einen Flipperautomaten entdeckt, entpuppt er sich als wahres Talent an dem Gerät. Er wird Flipper-Weltmeister, kann sich selbst heilen und wird von zahllosen Anhängern als neuer Messias verehrt.
