Haunted Hill (1999)
Steve Price ist ein millionenschwerer Exzentriker, der nicht nur in seinen Themenparks mit der Todesangst der Menschen seine Scherze treibt. Sein neuester Coup: Jedes Mitglied einer Gruppe von Fremden erhält eine Million Dollar wenn sie eine ganz Nacht mit ihm und seiner Frau in dem berüchtigten Art-Deco-Geisterpalast aushalten. Die einstige Anstalt für Geisteskranke hatte 1931 entsetzliche Berühmtheit erlangt, als die dort gefolterten und gequälten Patienten aufbegehrten und ein Massaker anrichteten. Weder Ärzte, Pflegerinnen, noch die Insassen überlebten diese Nacht des Horrors. Price Gäste merken schnell, dass sie sich auf einen bizarren Alptraum eingelassen haben, dem sie wahrscheinlich nicht lebend entkommen. Und auch Price und seine Frau dürfen sehr bald feststellen, dass sich die labyrinthische Hölle jeder Kontrolle entzieht... und die Geister der Toten rachlüsternd nach den Lebenden greifen!
