Appaloosa (2008)
Nachdem der neureiche Rancher Randall Bragg den Sheriff des Städtchens Appaloosa samt beider Deputies umgebracht hat und seine Männer in dem Ort für Angst und Schrecken sorgen, werden die beiden Lawmen Virgil Cole und Everett Hitch vom Stadtrat als neue Gesetzeshüter angeheuert, damit wieder Recht und Ordnung herrschen soll. Tatsächlich gelingt es den Beiden recht schnell, die Fronten klarzustellen und nachdem sogar einer von Braggs Männern den Mut hat, gegen seinen Boss auszusagen, scheint es nur noch eine Frage von Tagen zu sein, bis der Job erledigt ist. Ausgerechnet dann taucht aber die schöne Witwe Allison French in Appaloosa auf, die Virgil Cole nicht nur den Kopf verdreht, sondern auch die Freundschaft zwischen Cole und Hitch auf eine härtere Probe stellt und zu allem Überfluss wird dadurch die Sache mit Bragg auch nicht leichter.
