The Burrowers - Das Böse unter der Erde (2008)
Im Dakota des späten 19. Jahrhundert hielt Fergus Coffey eben erst an um die Hand von Freundin Maryanne, da liegt ihre Sippschaft auch schon ermordet in der Gegend, nur von den Damen fehlt jede Spur. Das müssen Indianer gewesen sein, folgert Coffey messerscharf und schließt sich mit Freunden einem Armeetrupp an, um sie zu suchen. Unterwegs macht man Bekanntschaft mit den fragwürdigen Methoden des menschenverachtenden Kommandanten und gewinnt zunehmend die Ahnung, es nicht mit Indianern, sondern etwas sehr viel Unangenehmeren zu tun zu haben.
