Clancy Brown, mit vollem Namen Clarence J. „Clancy“ Brown III, wurde am 5. Januar 1959 in Urbana, Ohio, geboren und ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler und Synchronsprecher. Er ist besonders bekannt für seine markanten Bösewicht-Rollen, darunter der furchteinflößende Kurgan im Kultfilm „Highlander – Es kann nur einen geben“ (1986) sowie der sadistische Gefängniswärter Captain Byron Hadley in der Stephen-King-Verfilmung „Die Verurteilten“ (1994). Weitere prägnante Rollen hatte er als Militärausbilder Sergeant Zim im Science-Fiction-Film „Starship Troopers“ (1997) und als Polizist in „Blue Steel“ (1990). Brown ist auch eine gefragte Stimme in der Synchronisation, unter anderem spricht er im Original die Figur Mr. Krabs in der Zeichentrickserie „SpongeBob Schwammkopf“ sowie Dr. Neo Cortex in der Videospielreihe „Crash Bandicoot“. In Videospielen wie „Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege“ leiht er der Figur Maestro seine Stimme und in „Detroit: Become Human“ porträtiert er den Charakter Hank Anderson via Motion-Capturing.
