Zeichen und Wunder...? (1990)
Oktober 1962, die USA steckt mitten in der Kuba-Krise. Auch Kay, ihre Kinder Emily und Eddie und ihre Tante Zena stecken mitten in einer Krise - die Sprößlinge sind von der Schule verwiesen worden, und das Geld langt hinten und vorne nicht. Da erbt Kay von ihrem Onkel ein Restaurant. Kurzentschlossen zieht das Quartett von Chicago an die Nordwestküste. Soeben angekommen, ist die Enttäuschung groß: Das Restaurant erweist sich als Bruchbude, das Geschäft geht schlecht und der Nachbar, Mister Mullins, ist ein wahres Ekel. Um ihn einen ordentlichen Schrecken einzujagen, wird Emily als Geist verkleidet, aber Mullins glaubt einen Engel gesehen zu haben und so wird "Das Wunder von Buckley" zum Medienereignis...
