Jonathan und Addie haben noch immer nicht den Tod ihres Sohnes verkraftet, als eines Nachts plötzlich eine um Hilfe bittende junge Frau vor ihrer Tür steht. Trotz ihrer Bedenken gewähren sie ihr Einlass, und versuchen ihr so gut es geht zu helfen. Schon bald tauchen jedoch unheimliche Gestalten auf, die sich gewaltsam Eintritt verschaffen und die ohnehin schon nicht ganz heile Welt von Addie und Jonathan vollends aus den Angeln heben …
