Ray (2004)
Der junge, farbige und blinde Ray nimmt seinen ganzen Mut zusammen und geht als Teenager - völlig auf sich allein gestellt - nach Seattle, wo es ihm bald gelingt, in der damals angesagtesten Jazz-Szene Amerikas Fuß zu fassen. Er müht sich, seinen eigenen Musik-Stil zu finden. Gegen alle soziale Widerstände bekommt er schließlich bei Atlantic Records einen Schallplattenvertrag. So beginnt sein triumphaler Aufstieg zum gefeierten Weltstar. Doch es gibt auch zahllose Liebesaffären und Drogen...
