The Damned United - Der ewige Gegner (2009)
Nach der Berufung von Don Revie zum Trainer der englischen Fußball-Nationalmannschaft im Sommer 1974 wird als sein Nachfolger bei Leeds United Brian Clough verpflichtet, der 1972 den zuvor unbedeutenden Club Derby County zur Meisterschaft geführt hatte. Da sein bisheriger Co-Trainer Peter Taylor einen Wechsel ablehnt, ist Clough bei Leeds auf sich allein gestellt. Das hindert ihn aber nicht, vom ersten Tag an klarzustellen, wie wenig er von seinem Vorgänger und der bisherigen Spielweise des Teams hält. Ein verkorkster Saisonstart und Zwistigkeiten mit den Spielern sorgen dafür, dass Clough nach nur 44 Tagen entlassen wird.
