Wie geht's aufwärts (1977)
Der farbige Plantagenarbeiter Leroy Jones wird zum unfreiwilligen Helden der kalifornischen Gewerkschaftsbewegung und macht in L.A. Karriere. Doch trotz seines Aufstiegs bleibt er ein Werkzeug der weißen Unternehmer. Und auch beim anderen Geschlecht hat Leroy wenig Glück.
