Nach vielen Jahren treffen sich der einst gefeierte Theaterregisseur André und der mäßig erfolgreiche Bühnenautor Wally in New York wieder. Beim Abendessen in einem exklusiven Lokal erzählt André, der dem Theater den Rücken gekehrt hat, um sich selbst zu verwirklichen, mit Begeisterung von spirituellen Erfahrungen, seltsamen Gruppenexperimenten, mystischen Erscheinungen und abenteuerlichen Reisen um die ganze Welt.
