An Halloween brechen drei geisteskranke Serienmörder aus der Nervenheilanstalt aus. Ihre ersten Opfer sind drei Clowns eines Wanderzirkus, der gerade in der Stadt gastiert. Von nun an in den Kostümen der ermordeten Clowns unterwegs, metzeln sich die irren Killer ihren Weg durch die Stadt und kommen auch am Haus des kleinen Casey Collins (Nathan Forrest Winters) vorbei...
