Warren Quimby hat die Demütigungen und Seitensprünge von Ehefrau Claire jahrelang mit stiller Geduld ertragen. Als sie ihn wegen eines anderen Mannes endgültig verlassen will, platzt ihm der Kragen, und er schwört, seinen Nebenbuhler zu ermorden.
