Zweiter Teil der Quatermass-Trilogie: In seinem Labor untersucht Prof. Quatermass einen kleinen, seltsamen Meteoriten. Als wenig später ein ungewöhnlicher Meteoritenregen einsetzt, geht er dem nach. Er entdeckt eine mysteriöse Fabrik, doch Polizei und Regierung hindern ihn an seinen Nachforschungen.
