Als Allan die schöne Witwe Rose O'Nea überwacht, entflammt er für die glühende Anhängerin der Konföderation… Allan Pinkerton gab es wirklich. Der Amerikaner begründete 1852 in Chicago die erste Agentur für Privatdetektive.
