Maniac (1980)
In einer Innenstadt in den USA geht der blanke Horror um. Ein grausamer Psychopath namens Frank Zito treibt sich herum, der gerne Prostituierte skalpiert, Krankenschwestern durch leere U-Bahnhöfe jagt oder Autofahrern mit einer Schrotflinte den Kopf wegpustet. In seiner heruntergekommenen Wohnung haust Frank in Gesellschaft von Schaufensterpuppen, denen er gerne die Todes-Trophäen (sprich: Skalps) seiner Opfer auf den Plastikkopf nagelt. Und das alles nur, weil Mama immer die Zigaretten auf Franks nacktem Körper auszudrücken pflegte. Da kann nicht mal Fotografin Anna helfen, die kurzzeitig eine Art Freundschaft zum Serienkiller aufbaut, ihm aber dann doch lieber eins mit einer Grabschaufel überzieht. Als dann noch die Schaufensterpuppen/Opfer in Franks Apartment lebendig werden und sich für die erlittenen Qualen rächen, ist der Alptraum komplett...
