The American (2010)
The American ist ein Auftragskiller und Meister seines Fachs: kühl, präzise und stets in Bewegung. Als ein Job in Schweden anders verläuft als geplant, teilt Jack, so der Name des Titelhelden, seinem Kontaktmann mit, dass sein nächster Auftrag auch sein letzter sein wird. Dieser führt in in ein abgelegenes italienisches Dorf in den Abruzzen. Dort freundet sich Jack entgegen seiner Gewohnheit mit dem örtlichen Pfarrer an und beginnt eine Affäre mit der Prostituierten Clara. Doch je mehr Jack sich gegenüber seiner Umgebung öffnet, umso mehr läuft der effiziente Profi Gefahr, selbst zum Opfer zu werden.
