Under the Gun (1988)
Michael Braxton ( Sam Jones ), St. Louis aufsässigster Cop, reist überstürzt nach L. A., um die Mörder seins jüngeren Bruders zu finden. Dieser hatte Kontakt zu dem Waffenhändler Simon Stone ( John Russell ). Stone ist im Begriff, sein letztes und größtes Geschäft, den Verkauf von Plutonium, abzuschließen. Die Menge würde ausreichen, um L. A. komplett zu zerstören. In L. A. angekommen, nimmt Braxton Kontakt zur Rechtsanwältin Samantha Richards ( Vanessa Williams ) auf. Beide befinden sich in höchster Lebensgefahr, weil Simon sich bedroht sieht, und deshalb seinen Handlanger Frank mit der Liquidierung der beiden beauftragt.
