Geliebte Jane (2007)
Die junge, kluge Jane, die gerne Schriftstellerin werden will, erhält einen Heiratsantrag von einem reichen, entfernten Verwandten. Sie lehnt ab. Unerhört fürs späte 18. Jahrhundert, ist ihre Familie doch nicht gerade vermögend. Doch will sie ihr Leben nicht mit einem Langweiler verbringen. Da tritt der arrogante Tom, ein Freund ihres Bruders, auf den Plan. Der verärgert sie zuerst zuriefst, doch verliebt sie sich in den impulsiven jungen Mann. Er ist jedoch auch von der Gunst seines Onkels abhängig.
