Mörderspinnen (1977)
In der kleinen Ortschaft Verde Valley in Arizona verenden eine Kuh und ein Stier an Spinnengift. Tiermediziner Rack Hansen aus Flagstaff entdeckt mit Diane Ashley einen riesigen Spinnenhügel, in dem es von Tausenden von Taranteln wimmelt, obwohl sie von Natur aus eigentlich Einzelgänger sind. Hansen findet heraus, dass der übermäßige Einsatz von Sprüh- und Düngemitteln die Mutationen bewirkt und das Verhalten der Taranteln verändert hat. Man verbarrikadiert sich in einem Gasthaus, aus dem es kein Entkommen gibt.
