Der dubiose Geschäftsmann Julian Michaels hat den ultimativen Erholungsort geschaffen: In "VICE" ist nahezu alles möglich, was sich der zahlende Kunde vorstellen und leisten kann. Mit künstlichen Lebensformen, die aussehen, denken und fühlen wie echte Menschen, können die reichen Klienten hier ihre wildesten Fantasien ohne Konsequenzen ausleben. Um den reibungslosen Ablauf des Ganzen zu gewährleisten, werden die Gedächtnisse der Roboter am Ende eines jeden Tages gelöscht. Doch als eine der Maschinen aufgrund einer Fehlfunktion ihre verstörenden Erinnerungen behält und daraufhin flieht, drohen Michaels finstere Machenschaften aufzufliegen. Während dessen Handlanger Jagd auf die Flüchtige machen, wendet diese sich an den Polizisten Roy, der damit endlich eine handfeste Chance gekommen sieht, "VICE" und der dort herrschenden Gewalt ein für alle Mal ein Ende zu setzen.
