Passion Play (2011)
Das Glück ist Jazztrompeter Nate Poole (Mickey Rourke) definitiv nicht hold. Nachdem er mit der Frau des Gangsterbosses Happy Shannon (Bill Murray) geschlafen hat, veranlasst dieser eine Exekution Nates, der er durch Zufall aber nur knapp entkommt. Ohne Orientierung irrt er durch die Wüste, ehe er auf einen Zirkus trifft, dessen Besitzer Sam Adamo (Rhys Ifans) den Engel Lily (Megan Fox) als Attraktion hält, in die sich Nate umgehend verliebt. Gemeinsam gelingt es ihnen aus dem Zirkus und der Wüste zu flüchten. Doch damit fangen die Probleme erst an, denn Happy Shannon will Nate immer noch tot sehen und Sam seine Haupteinnahmequelle Lily auch nicht so einfach aufgeben.
