Das Schicksal zweier Männer: Nach einem mißlungenen Suizidversuch lernt ein Mann, der mit schweren körperlichen Einschränkungen weiterleben muß, sein Leben wieder zu genießen. Einen guten Freund findet er in einen Theker einer Bar, der ein ähnliches Schicksal hat, doch nach einer erfolgreichen Operation will dieser von seiner Vergangenheit nichts mehr wissen und Karriere als Profisportler machen - ein schwerer Schlag für den zurückgelassenen Freund.
