Benny & Joon (1993)
Benny Pearl betreibt eine Autowerkstatt und kümmert sich aufopferungsvoll um seine Schwester Joon, die seit dem Unfalltod der Eltern psychisch krank ist. Als die impulsive Joon beim Pokern den verträumten Sam gewinnt, nehmen die Geschwister ihn in ihr gemeinsames Haus auf. Der fantasievolle Lebenskünstler scheint positiven Einfluss auf Joon zu haben und so findet Benny erstmals Zeit für ein Rendezvous mit der Kellnerin Ruthie. Doch als Benny erfährt, dass sich Sam und Joon ineinander verliebt haben, glaubt er seine Schwester in Gefahr.
